Preheat your oven to 200°C / 400°F. Place the ciabatta halves directly on the oven rack and bake for 10–12 minutes. Once baked, remove them from the oven and allow them to cool for 5 to 10 minutes.

Cut the ½ ciabatta in half horizontally.

Spread a small amount of pesto over the base. Season with salt and pepper to taste.Spread the bottom with a little pesto. Add salt and pepper to your taste.

Slice the mozzarella and tomato into thin slices. Arrange them over the pesto, alternating between mozzarella and tomato.

5.

Add a few fresh basil leaves, then close the sandwich.
