Nearly 60 Years of Passion for Baking

At every chapter of our story, we pass on the delicious taste of French bread from one generation to the next.

1965

1965

The artisanal bakery

Nicole and Jacques Menissez open their artisanal bakery in Feignies, in northern France. They create a network of 12 vans to deliver bread to nearby towns and villages — a service that still operates today.

1975

Industrial fresh bread

What if bread could also be shared through the private-label brands of northern France? This idea led to the opening of our first fresh bread production facility, marking the beginning of a long-lasting collaboration.

1985

The frozen range

A new chapter begins with the creation of our range of “frozen raw dough” and “frozen part baked” breads. These products offer several advantages: convenience, long shelf life and the ability to bake on site, preserving the delicious flavour of the bread.

1996

Creation of Bake at Home

With the launch of part baked breads packaged in a protective atmosphere, Menissez transforms the industrial bread sector. Thanks to innovative packaging, Menissez part baked breads are optimally preserved, giving customers the freedom to finish the baking at home.

2000

The Premium range

With new production lines, state of the art stone ovens and the development of an exclusive Menissez sourdough, we continue to champion baking excellence through our Premium range.

2005

Expansion of the Feignies production site

As Menissez grows, so too does the need for a larger production site. Remaining faithful to our origins, we chose to expand our historic Feignies facility.

2015

Automation of production lines

To increase productivity, we introduce new, fully automated production lines.

2020

Diversification and the development of partnerships

New partnerships are established with Boulart, Van Rooy and Lemarié, as well as with Delice de France, Village Bakery and Fresh Food Village.
